Invited and hosted by the Song Group, Prof. Emad Tajkhorshid visited CQB on 3-4 June. Prof. Tajkhorshid is one of the leading scientists in the development of the widely used scientific software NAMD and VMD. He gave us a wonderful talk entitled “Visualizing Biological Membranes and Their Function Using Advanced Modeling and Simulation Technologies”.
Dr. Song was invited to attend the “101st Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition” at Edmonton and gave a talk on 29 May 2018.
Invited and hosted by Dr. Chen Song and Shasha Feng, Prof. Wonpil Im, the leading scientist of the CHARMM-GUI, G-LoSA and ST-analyzer projects, visited us and gave a seminar entitled “Bacterial Outer Membranes and Interactions with Membrane Proteins” at CQB.
Dr. Chen Song attended the CECAM workshop “Multiscale modelling in electrophysiology: from atoms to organs” at Lugano Switzerland on 26-28 Mar 2018, gave a talk entitled “Exploring permeation pathways of ion channels by multi-scale molecular dynamics simulations”, and chaired a session.
