Postdoctoral Positions at the Center for Quantitative Biology

The Center for Quantitative Biology (CQB, formally Center for Theoretical Biology) was established on September 17, 2001, as a result of the collective efforts of interested faculty members and the visionary support from Prof. TD Lee and PKU leadership. CQB’s mission is to promote research, education, international exchange and collaboration at the interface of physical and biological sciences and to become an international center for the emerging interdisciplinary field of Systems Biology. CQB is supported by Peking University, Chinese Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, and by National Natural Science Foundation of China as its first Interdisciplinary Innovation Group. CQB provides an excellent interactive research and education environment for students, faculty and visitors.

As part of PKU’s strategic initiative in enhancing interdisciplinary research, CQB is dedicated to research and education at the interface between the traditionally more quantitative disciplines (such as mathematics, physical sciences, engineering, computer science) and the biological sciences. Current research areas include: systems biology, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, and network based disease mechanism and drug design. CQB seeks individuals with strong quantitative biology background for postdoctoral positions. Applicants should have received a Ph.D. degree within five years. We offer a competitive postdoctoral stipend up to 200,000 per year. For more information, please contact gongsy@pku.edu.cn
