摘 要:

The rate and temporal pattern of insulin secretion is determined by interplay between several intracellular messengers and signalling proteins in pancreatic b-cells. Live-cell imaging have shown that glucose and neuro-hormonal stimuli induce dynamic changes of e.g. the ATP, Ca2+ and cyclic AMP concentrations in the sub-plasmalemmal space, where they contribute to generate pulsatile insulin secretion. Moreover, secretory products elicit auto- and paracrine signalling that influence the secretion pattern. This presentation will review some recent insights into the spatio-temporal regulation of these signalling systems and how signalling defects may underlie impaired insulin secretion in type 2 diabetes.

报告人简介:

Dr. Anders Tengholm is a full professor at the department of Medical Cell Biology, Uppsala University. He got his bachelor degree in Medicine from Uppsala University in 1994 and Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the same university in 2000. Then he took up a postdoc in Molecular Pharmacology at Stanford University. He went back to Uppsala University in 2002 and worked on the physiology of pancreatic islet hormone secretion for many years, aiming at clarifying the mechanisms that regulate the release of insulin, glucagon, somatostatin as well as other peptides and secretory factors from the islets of Langerhans. He was elected as the member of the Royal Scientific Society in Uppsala in 2015.
