Dr. Shuguang Yuan visited our group and presented his interesting work on “The activation mechanism and drug discovery of G-protein-coupled receptors”. Shuguang is a research scientist in the Swiss drug company “Actelion”.

Prof. Benzhuo LU (Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS) visited our group and gave us a seminar about continuum theories of ion channels.

Welcome Hanyuan Sun and Jiangguo Zhang, two very motivated undergraduate students, to join our group.

Prof. Ren Lai (Kunming Institute of Zoology, CAS) visited our group and gave a very inspiring seminar about antimicrobial peptides today.

Jianhan has finished his three-month rotation with us and is now leaving for a new round of adventure. During his time in our group, he tested several sets of ion parameters and obtained quite some interesting results. Well done and good luck, Jianhan.

The whole group attended the World Life Science Conference 2016, 1-3 Nov, Beijing. It was a great conference and there were many seminars of interest to us. Enjoyed it.
